Donation of toys to 'aster' group in Devizes
Dear Liz and Niki,
What can say, I can’t wait to see the smile on the children’s (and mothers) faces when I hand the gifts over. (I wish you could see it too), I will of course let every parent know where they have come from. I am supporting children who have witnessed or experienced abuse, including some cases of sexual violence, this will obviously give them a little ‘time out’ from the trauma they are suffering. It is fantastic that Finlays name and wishes live on in such a generous way.
Thank you really doesn’t seem enough.

The new addition will enable increased numbers to participate and meet personal challenges in a water sport environment which has proved so successful"

Donation of Guinea pigs and supplies to A women & children's refuge in Swindon, June 2014
I am writing to you on behalf of Swindon Women's aid, to send an enormous thank you for the cheque we've recently received.
As you are aware, with your generous donation we have purchased 4 adorable guinea pigs for the residents and children to enjoy whilst living at the refuge. Your donation has also gone towards the hutch, bedding, food and all the other essentials that the guinea pigs may need. The guinea pigs were named on Tuesday, the children pulled names from a hat that have been adding to previous to the guinea piss arrival. We then all got together in the garden and welcomed Amber, Amelie, Sweetie and Poppet!
I must say the build up to their arrival has been very exciting for the children, residents and most certainly staff & volunteers! Therefore I would like to assure you that they really have come to a good home and will be very well looked after.
It is heartwarming to be able to bring a smile to mothers and children who are living at the refuge given their current situation. In some circumstances the families were possibly not allowed pets or may of had to give them away, previous to coming to the refuge. I just hope you know how appreciative we all are and what a kind thing your donation has allowed us to carry out."

Donation of pirate themed children's table & chairs, rug & sofa to Great Western hospital, Swindon, August 2012
Hi Niki & Liz,
It was so lovely to see you both today and to be able to show you around the ward and for you to see the items which you purchased for the ward. We are absolutely thrilled with the pirate tables and chairs, the under the sea rug and the children's sofas, they are amazing and the children are already really enjoying using them when waiting to be seen by the doctors. We cannot express how grateful we are to you all for your support in helping us to provide more varied equipment for the children to help make their time in hospital easier and more fun. We would not have raised the money to buy the furniture and rug until next year and can now raise money for a different project. Look forward to seeing you again.
Donation of 12,000 stickers to the children's department at the Great Western hospital in Swindon, August 2012
It was lovely to meet you today and thank you for the stickers, they are amazing! We rely on donations in the order for us to provide exciting age appropriate activities for the patients and siblings during their time on the ward. The stickers which we received may seem simple but they go a long way in helping to provide positive recognition to the children after they have had a blood test, x-ray or other procedure carried out on the ward. We do not receive a budget for play so greatly appreciate the generosity of everyone who supports us.

Donation of Art & crafts materials, books & board games to Naomi House Children's hospice, March 2012
Hello Niki and Greg,
It was really lovely to meet you both when you visited the hospice last week, Thank you both for thinking of our charity, at what must have been a very painful anniversary following Finlay’s death last year, and in donating such wonderful toys and games, which will be used in our family accommodation where mums and dads and brothers and sisters of our life-limited children stay when they visit for respite care. You will have seen that we are refreshing the family accommodation after some wear and tear over the past few years and the toys and games you have donated will be enjoyed and well used by everyone who stays. I know you were quite taken with the unique and rather special facilities we are able to offer families when they visit, which hopefully puts them at their ease and allows them to spend some quality time with their children to create special memories that will stay with them after their children have sadly passed away. Thank you again for your kindness and support. The families are really grateful for the fantastic donation from the Finlay Foundation
Kind regards and very best wishes

Donation of a table top cooker to Busy Bees Nursery School, Upavon, 2012
Dear Niki, Greg & Louis
Everyone at Busy Bees would like to thank Finlay’s Foundation Trust for the wonderful gift of a cooker for the nursery. This gift will benefit all children for many years to come, giving them an opportunity to experience cookery, making biscuits, cakes and of course healthy options on a regular basis. We have already made ‘Jiffy biscuits’ not only did they taste great, but the smell of baking lingered for some time which we feel the children associate with home. During ‘book week’ we read the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and then we all baked gingerbread men – which brought the story to life. Cookery is a ‘hands on’ experience it encourages turn taking and sharing. It also helps children to learn about measuring, counting, time and enables them to find out more about food.We have very fond memories of Finlay’s time spent at Busy Bees. He was a happy, gentle little boy who was always kind to others and loved to talk about his family especially Louis and all of his friends. He loved to take an active part in all the activities chatting all the time about what he was doing. We will all remember his sunny disposition and beautiful smile – we will not forget him.We remember that one of Finlay’s favourite activities was cookery, so the gift of a cooker is a special legacy for him to give us.Thank you all once again, your generosity is much appreciated, it was so kind of you to think of us.
